Position Overview:

**This role is based in Jacksonville, FL and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate is willing to be 90% customer facing/remote.**

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for providing accurate quotes for jobs to be completed by Wilmington Awning, Shutter & Shade, Inc. Additionally, the Outside Sales Representative is responsible for swiftly closing sales by managing the sales process from start to finish, including accurate measurement and procurement of goods needed to complete jobs within the time promised during the sales process. The Outside Sales Representative must possess the ability to tailor their style to the needs of the customer, overcoming challenges to close sales. This individual should have a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills that enable them to keep all stakeholders (customers, vendors, company leadership) apprised of job progress and timelines.

Specific Duties:

• Communicate with customers from beginning of project to end.
• Ensure products and projects are accurately quoted, sold, and produced.
• Maintain knowledge of all products and accessories sold by the company including associated labor/material considerations.
• Provide measurements/quotes to stakeholders in a timely manner, expediting quotes to close sales as quickly as possible.
• Maintain relationships with product vendors and our own installer team.
• Represent the values of the organization well while inside the home of the customer by providing product and project consultation in a clear, courteous, and respectful manner.
• Maintain project profitability within acceptable standards set by the organization
• Accountable to achieve sales and profit targets which may require sales prospecting activities to generate sales leads.

Education and/or Experience :

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Associates’ Degree in Construction Technology, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• 3+ years experience in in-home sales or sales that require material/labor coordination.
• Must have a current Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

Compensation:

• This role is commission based. Our sales team receives 10% commission on in-home sales of products and accessories. Payment to the sales team is 5% when the sale is made, and the additional 5% once the job is completed.

Language:

• Ability to read and interpret documents and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine correspondence, primarily through E-mail or Text.

Mathematical Skills:

• Knowledge of mathematical equations required within standard construction measurement practices.
• Ability to calculate profitability using raw material/labor costs and acceptable profitability standards as set by the organization.

Other Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Demands:

• This position requires local travel estimated to equate to 90% of the time.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times, unassisted, and may require lifting greater than 25 pounds with or without assistance.
• Must be able to access crawl spaces, attics, and climb ladders and/or scaffolding in a safe manner, avoiding any damage to customer property
• Must be able to access and navigate each department of the organization’s facilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
